I was sharing a *lame joke with *Gallant in the cab today:
Patient says, Doctor, I can't stop singing "Green Green Grass of Home"
Seems like you're having the Tom Jones Syndrome
Huh, is that common?
"It's not unusual"
Our taxi driver was quiet the entire trip but when we reached our destination he said
Here you are... the Green Green Grass of Home" and broke into chorus!
I'm tickled pink! I'm so tempted to call my dad and share this joke with him!

Damn Aron
I'm sorry. Just too darn disappointed and tired to update you.
I've got the job but it is down to this: a very severe pay cut (still above market but far lower than what I am paid now).
Money and passion apparently do not go hand in hand.

Red Dot
Working for Red Dot in this Little Red Dot!
Well, not yet to be exact. I have to go for a second interview this very evening with the two MDs of Red Dot Singapore.
He mentioned something along the lines of being the only one they shortlisted to go for this 'second interview'.
Excellent job scope. Exactly what I want (dare I say... I am perfect for this job!). Wonderful people and personalities to work with. And a good pay rise too! Hehe...
So why do I feel as if there will be something that causes me to screw up royally today?!
Oh *jinkies. Wish me luck and I will let you know more soon.

Positivity
A Little Positivity is Necessary... Always!
I was crushed. Obviously because before this potential mother in law of mine sees me, she will see my imperfect pineapple tarts. And with all this effort, buying cute little cookie boxes, cross referencing recipes online and checking out cookie baking tips on the net and asking about, my tarts seemed like a disaster.

It didn't matter if these were the worst pineapple tarts in history, his mother was touched - complimenting, passing them around to all her guests and declaring them made my me! While the *kinder folks of mine in Malaysia excuse themselves from second helpings and relatives come up with very creative politically correct things to say, *Mother Gallant loved the tarts.
My mother and I have a relationship more tense than ever since conversations over CNY with accusations that she was the root of my insecurities

And we only have chatted twice, very briefly since then. Thank goodness for some peace from nagging but what I realise is that absence makes the heart very much fonder.
Cold hard world. It is all about projection of sanity and grace under extreme pressure.
Project managers need to lead the team and show that she's got things under control
It's the company policy here. One where you get all things done and leave the office early, and by-golly-genius projects are miraculously successful!

Prepaid Mobile Summit exceeded expectations and received rave reviews as the best event delegates have ever attended. For my company, it was the best telco event ever run. So there. Now I am ready to move on to greener pastures.
